Restaurants In The City
Living in the UK we are extremely lucky to have many different vibrant cities that dot our land from the North to the South and the East to the West. Many of our cities are occupied by a wide and varied range of cultures, traditions and foods.
With Birmingham being no exception to this rule.
In fact the second city seems to be more diverse and vibrant than most. Obviously Birmingham is well-known for its Indian and balti dishes but there are also restaurants and cuisine styles from all corners of the globe.
Within several minutes you can walk from a Mexican restaurant, to an Italian, to a French restaurant then hop into a Spanish Tapas bar and end up at a seafood specialist venue. Not to mention that now with the growing Polish population it’s easy to get your hands on some of the Eastern European cuisine. Did you know that Polish is now the most commonly spoken second language in the city?
Birmingham also poses a of the country’s best hotels and as you know hotel kitchens pride themselves on the quality of their menu. By booking a table at one of the many leading hotels you certainly won’t be disappointed with what appears on your plate!

Broad Street Birmingham
Broad Street in Birmingham is one of the hottest areas in the city for all kinds of nightlife. Whatever your taste there is bound to be a bar, restaurant or nightclub that will suit your every entertainment need.
Whether you want a DJ at the desks whilst you cut a few shapes on the dance floor or whether you are looking for that superior dining experience in a sleek piano bar, then Broad Street will have something for you.
Perhaps the nightlife is not what you are looking for. Well don’t fret as at this very location you can find everything you need for your business conference facilities, fantastic hotels, family attractions, radio stations and even family entertainment. On top of all that there is plenty of car parking for you to arrive with ease.
Once considered to be outside of the city centre, the rapid expansion of Birmingham now encompasses Broad Street at its very heart, but it was way back in 1750 that this Street began its life as a country path. Towards the end of the 1700 developments on the site began and this popular city hotspot has never looked back since.
Did you know there is a Hollywood style walk of fame on Broad Street? You can walk along the path over stars embedded into the concrete and see famous names such as son of the city Ozzy Osborne. There have been plenty of world famous names to come out of this Midland city and no doubt lots more in the future.
Whatever you’re looking for you are sure to find it on Broad Street.
Best Bars In The City
Although Birmingham is the second city of the UK it is often overlooked and many people only associate venues like the National Indoor Arena with this great city. But Birmingham not only has some incredible bars, restaurants and nightlife but it also boasts more miles of canal than the beautiful Italian city of Venice!
If you are a culture vulture then the city’s Symphony Orchestra can keep you entertained and a short journey in the car can take you to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare.
But if you are looking for a more wild time then this Jewel in the West Midlands is the place to be. Here are just a few of the incredibly popular bars and night time hotspots for you to savour.
Island Bar – This venue bills itself as a rock ‘n’ roll cocktail bar where the staff know a thing or two about mixing drinks. This place can get pretty busy on the weekend but you should still be able to catch some of the bar staff displaying their skills.
This place also has a great reputation for its weeknight entertainment too, with acoustic nights for those of us looking for Birmingham’s next best singer or band.
Chi – This has to be the only bar and restaurant lounge in the city that can boast a hot tub amongst its attractions. Situated in its private room you can hop into this tub of hot jets and bubbles whilst you sip on a Manhattan cocktail.
Spread over four floors in the listed building this is one of the sleekest and hottest venues around.
Living Room – This is part of the living room chain you may have seen in other cities like Nottingham in Birmingham. But despite this each one of its individual venues is always characterful and unique with there being no exception.
With a main bar and a 170 seater restaurant you will be mixing with the highflying city types which you venture to this bar down in the famous Broad Street of Birmingham.
